Menus by Lorna Biljan are rooted in, but not limited by, a plant strong, Mediterranean diet. We strive to use in-season, local and organic produce and clean, sustainable seafood and meats when ever possible. Lovely proudly serves local foods from Pyrite Sun, Mick Klug Farms, Nichols Farm & Orchard, Cafe Marie Jean's breads, Publican Quality Bread, Three Sisters Garden, & Mint Creek Farm, Butcher & Larder and much more.
For the last 4 years, Lorna Biljan has taken her 18 years of expertise in front-of-house hospitality, culinary and mixology instructing, and management/consulting in casual to fine dining restaurants and applied it to her company. Her career in the culinary and mixology arts has taken her from winning "Most Imaginative Bartender" for the state with GQ Magazine in 2011, to creating the first and only Mixology Classes and Entertaining-at-Home Cooking Classes for Whole Foods Market Lincoln Park in 2015. It doesn't matter if she is teaching a class, packing lunches for the homeless, or plating Michelin-star quality food with acclaimed chefs - Lorna brings her enthusiasm, charm and attention to detail to every occasion.
When this proud Chicago native is not working, you can find her sipping on a glass of wine at Rootstock Wine Bar, helping her friends and family host parties, or enjoying a beach somewhere.
